Added 2/26/06 - Spoilers through Season 2Alright, my first non-Spider-Man vid! This idea came to me around November of last year when System of a Down's new album "Hypnotize" came out. I listened to every track religiously (still do actually) and everytime I came to this song I'd always think of Lost and how great the song would fit in a Lost character study vid. About a day later I thought about Jin's character and everything that he'd gone through and it felt like an instant click. The song really captures Jin's feelings of utter loneliness on the island during season 1. On top of not being able to communicate with any other castaways because of the language barrier, he was also emotionally separated from his wife; He gave up his humanity to be with Sun and in turn ended up pushing her away. The vid follows Jin as he reflects on his life and the mistakes he's made as he tries to recapture who he is and reconcile his relationship with Sun. While the vid takes place in season 1, I also used some key flashback clips from season 2. The vid took about a month and a half of on-again, off-again editing and was edited in Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5. Xvid compressed in VirtualdubMod.
