Strange Things - Randy Newman - Spider-Man 1
I was, and still am, a huge fan of Pixar's "Toy Story". One of my favorite moments is the scene where Woody is gradually being replaced as Andy's favorite toy by Buzz Lightyear, while the Randy Newman song "Strange Things" plays in the background. I heard the song again while I was making the "My December" vid and thought how perfectly it reflected the changes that were happened in Peter's own life after being bitten by the spider. Aside from highlighting his physical changes into Spider-Man, I also wanted to capture the new responsibilites that he had to deal with. The vid took me about two weeks to complete and was edited with Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5.

Thanks so much! Its great to hear some feedback on one of my vids! The editing got very difficult at times because the song doesn't have many workable beats but I tried my best to tell the story and keep with the rhythm.

i didn't expect to like it much, mainly because i never cared a whole lot for the spiderman films, but i thought this was really good and well made. the editing was perfect, both in terms of being in sync with the lyrics and the feeling. i enjoyed it a lot.

Thanks, glad that you liked the vid! Keeping the editing in sync with the lyrics got pretty difficult at times because I had to change the way the film's plot was told (like a different order of events).

The song does fit the theme of Spiderman: You've just been bitten, and now you're part spider! I hope you can learn to enjoy it!

Glad that you liked it. I've loved the song since the Toy Story days so it was nice to use it in a vid.
